What is GST Registration?

GST Registration is the process of enrolling a business under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) system and obtaining a unique GSTIN (Goods and Services Tax Identification Number). It is mandatory for businesses whose turnover exceeds the prescribed limit or for certain types of businesses like inter-state suppliers, e-commerce sellers, and service providers. Once registered, the business is required to collect GST on sales and file regular GST returns as per government rules.
